Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is coaching?
A: Coaching, in this setting, is a way to gain clarity through deep, reflective conversation and thoughtful questions. It is not therapy or counseling.
This approach is grounded in the belief that much of what you are seeking already exists within you. My role is to help create a space where you can listen more deeply to yourself, explore what feels true, and uncover your own next steps with greater clarity and self-trust.
Q: What kinds of questions can I ask?
A: You are welcome to ask questions related to where you are in your life right now, especially as it relates to transition, identity, purpose, relationships, creativity, work, grief, desire, burnout, uncertainty, or the “messy middle.”
Some example themes might include:
You do not need to have a perfectly worded question, just as there won’t be a perfectly worded “answer”. Often, simply naming what feels heavy, confusing, or unfinished is enough.
Q: What if my question feels personal?
A: Your questions should be personal 🙂. This space is about you — not fixing or analyzing someone else. With that said, your question will be handled with care, compassion, and respect. You are always welcome to share only what feels comfortable. Vulnerability is invited, never forced.
Q: What if I don’t have a question?
A: There is absolutely no pressure to come with a question or to participate in the live coaching portion by asking one. Sometimes simply listening to others be coached can bring unexpected insight, clarity, or affirmation for your own life. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels supportive to you.
Q: What if I have a question but don’t want to ask it live?
A: That’s completely understandable. Asking something personal in a group setting can feel vulnerable. If you’d prefer, you may send your question to me beforehand and I can share it anonymously during the session. That allows both you and others to benefit from the conversation while maintaining privacy. Please know, however, that coaching is often most impactful when it becomes a shared exploration rather than simply an “answer.”
Q: Will everyone have time to be coached?
A: It depends on how many attending will have questions. Because of time limitations, I may not be able to coach everyone live. However, I will do my best to create space for multiple voices and experiences during our time together, which might mean not fully addressing one question (some are too in-depth for a group setting) before going to the next.
Q: What if I’m not attending live but still have a question I want to ask?
A: Send me the question and if there is time during the live session, I will include it.
Q: How can I best prepare for live coaching?
A: The best way is to come with an open mind. Try to set time aside before and after our time so you don’t feel rushed. Silence notifications. Find a private place, if possible, for our time together to limit interruptions. You may want to come with a question in mind, but you don’t have to. You also may want to take notes, even if you don’t have a specific questions, as others may provide insight.
Q: Is this session confidential?
A: While I will hold the space with integrity and encourage confidentiality and respect among participants, this is still a group gathering and it will be recorded. Please share only what feels appropriate and safe for you in a communal setting.
Q: What if I become emotional during the session?
A: That is completely okay. Transitions, reflection, and honest conversations can stir emotion. You are welcome to pause, step away briefly, keep your camera off, or simply listen quietly if needed. This is intended to be a supportive and compassionate space, not a performance.
Q: Will there be a replay?
A: Yes, everyone who has registered will receive the recording, which will be available for 60 days. Excerpts may be used in an upcoming podcast (I will email beforehand to notify you).
Q: Is this therapy?
A: No. This session is not therapy, counseling, or crisis support. It is a reflective, coaching-centered experience focused on self-awareness, clarity, and personal growth. Please seek professional help if that would be of support.
